Kate Middleton Bids Australia Farewell in Classic American Fashion
And it's ma-jor.
By Lauren Valenti
On the final day of their Australia and New Zealand tour (say it ain't so!), Prince William and Kate Middleton paid their respects to war veterans at an Anzac Day memorial service. For the occassion, Middleton chose an indigo twill jacquard Michael Kors dress coat paired with a navy fascinator by Australian milliner Jonathan Howard, a jeweled poppy brooch, and Russell and Bromley "Muse" clutch. Her swing coat look, which debuted on the designer's Spring 2014 runway and retails for $2995 (it's avaliable for purchase in-store), marks the first time the Duchess of Cambridge has worn Michael Kors.
Will and Kate were seen off by Prime Minister Tony Abbott and his wife Margie Abbott at Faribairne Airbase in Canberra, where they posed for pictures and waved goodbye to supporters before boarding their plane. Prince George was on hand on for the farewell and looked darling in a red cardigan and shorts, as well as tiny navy shoes and white socks. However, it seems he's been having such a good time in Australia, he was none too pleased about having to say goodbye (his expression below says it all) . We feel just the same about the departure as we're already going through withdrawal from Kate's immaculate tour wardrobe.
