I think Holiday party looks everybody wants them at Christmas time and we had some much fun thinking of what are the trends this year? What are the things you can do?

The Holiday Hair Studio actually came out of a conversation with hairstylist, he had worked with January Jones the actress from Mad Men for the Emmy's and he wanted up putting all of these diamond necklaces and wrap them in her hair. So, we decided to get in a bunch of really different hair accessories and in arranging from in a $5 things that you can find at the drug store from Goody to really more elaborate pins and jewelry-type accessories.

And hair accessories are fun for the Holiday because you might wanna do something a little bit different than your regular hairstyle, so, its like you can always put your hair up, you can put in a pin, or a clip or something, it just change a little bit, makes a little bit dressy.

You know for this store, we really wanted to make the look accessible and you know at various price points.

It doesn't mean you have to spend an hour with the blow dryer. It doesn't mean you have to go and hire someone to come in and do it for you. You can do this, it's not difficult, it's really not difficult. We tested it and it's like the angel on top of the tree. I mean it's just the trimming that you need it. It's your personal hair trimming if you like. In the case of our shoot, we have one photograph where I think Mark took at least 20 hair bands from Goody, they were all really inexpensive, stretchy hair bands and put them all in her hair.

It made-- really made the look because it was like more fun, more youthful, and its just add a lot of sparkle to the hair.

In sort of the real world, that's probably gonna be a little bit hard to pull off and just even in terms of maintenance through the evening, you might be fidgeting with all of them. Like, if you wanna go for that look scale is actually fine.

I think a lot of people are not comfortable about putting things in their hair. They're nervous about it what if they fallout and so we came up with the story of things that are every easy to put in your hair. I mean these really are things you can do in the office bathroom in 5 minutes. It's not gonna take you forever.

I think an easy way to go from day to night without looking too ever done is just pick one feature. So, whether that's the eyes or whether that is a lip or whether you wanna go for a real rosy cheek, just pick one of those things. The December fashion feature we took 3 women with very different styles who were all in the fashion industry and ask them their advice to updating basically a party look for the season.

We picked 3 very different women because all our readers love different things and we wanted 3 very different voices and we picked the Hollywood stylist, we picked the designer, and we picked the socialite. So, they all have different needs and different understandings of what clothes can do for you.

Olivia showed us how to basically dress for a party. She gave tips on how to get dressed quickly, how to obtain 1 dress for 7 nights a week.

I know for the least 1 party I have a red dress that I can't wait to wear with amazing shoes from Sergio Rossi.

I am thinking of wearing a dress to my in laws and show my friends party tomorrow, I was thinking of wearing shorts and tights and boots.

It depends on my family party I would wear a pair of jeans, boots; work party is probably skirt.

I think one of the things that women do is look at other women and they're often trying to dissect their look and figure out how did you put this together? How could I do that?

I think for the Holiday season it's important for everyone to stay what kinda look special. They wanna do something a bit different, you know like Holidays just fun full of social events, work events, soiree. I think the key advice will be don't try and change it too much.

I think I tend to over dress definitely.

I guess it would be silly to say I think I do it an alright job of dressing. But I mean I guess I would tend more towards over than under.

Yeah, we've got 3 great tips [unknown] and she shows how to do it 3 very different styles and follow that tips and don't go too outside your comfort zone.

The message you come away with is you don't need zillion dollars to look fantastic and party clothes don't have to be a brand new black bought with jewels on and a jewelled bag. I mean that maybe what's in right now, but you probably have a ton of stuff in your closet, which you don't realize could look fantastic.
