On Monday, Cardi B took to Instagram to unveil a major update (opens in new tab) to her most iconic and recognizable tattoo, the peacock adorning her thigh. The rapper showed off (opens in new tab) her updated ink with a striking side-by-side photo, writing: "So after ten years I gave my peacock tattoo a makeover. This whole week I been takin hours of pain getting tatted."
The revamp was the work of Los Angeles-based tattoo artist Jamie Schene (opens in new tab). "I gave Cardi’s peacock a makeover! Thanks for the trust @iamcardib Your strength and determination is inspiring. (Getting tattooed for 7 days in a row is no joke 🙌)," Schene wrote.

Not only is Cardi's body art more vibrant now, but Schene updated the piece with a beautiful butterfly and added new peacock feathers and flowers.
Cardi isn't one to shy away from the ink: She already has several tattoos, including her sister's name on her bicep and a floral tattoo that stretches along her back all the way down to her upper thigh. The star also posted a full-body photo showing off the dreamy work of art in all of its glory on Monday evening, topped off with an electrifying pink hairdo.
