Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, and Prince Andrew got married on July 23, 1986. The couple divorced on May 30, 1996, but have remained close ever since, so it's perhaps unsurprising that their wedding anniversary was celebrated by their daughter, Princess Eugenie, on Instagram.

Royal fans have also been taking to social media to mark the occasion, and Twitter user @katemidIetons even found the perfect GIF to celebrate.

They wrote, "Late post, but it's been 33 years since the wedding of Prince Andrew and Fergie in 1986. And so here's Queen Elizabeth running after little Prince William to stop him from getting closer to the carriage. Her Majesty as a grandma is cute":

It's beyond adorable to see the queen chasing after her grandson at the royal wedding, especially as it's incredibly rare to see the monarch moving at such a fast pace. Holding on to Prince William's hand, Queen Elizabeth was truly the doting grandmother at the royal nuptials.

Queen Elizabeth and Prince William's sweet connection was evident even then.
