Fifty Shades of Grey: The Film Adaptation Gets a Director!

Ever since the Twilight-inspired erotica novel became a The New York Times Best Seller, there's been lots of questions on Fifty Shades of Grey lovers' lips: When is it going to be turned into a movie? Who is going to take on the talked-about parts of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele? And of course, who is going to direct the film and bring the page-turner to life? While we're still in the dark on first two may, the last question recently got an answer: Female director Sam Taylor-Johnson has snagged the steamy spot.

Who better to direct an adaptation of a book women went wild for than a woman? Better yet, the Brit knows how to make good-looking men, well, look good: She's the visual artist behind the video portrait of a sleeping David Beckham in London's National Portrait Gallery — how about turning that into a feature-length film? Rights were acquired by Universal and Focus Features last year, so hopefully casting news is not too far away.

This, of course, brings up an even bigger question: Who are you hoping to see as Christian and Ana? Sound off in the comments below!
