Over the past few days, all eyes have been on Paris Fashion Week’s Fall 2026 circuit. From Chanel’s intricate tweed sets to Chloé’s sharp plaid blazers to Stella McCartney’s textured teddy coats, the glitzy catwalks have served up a sea of autumn staples that summon the words, très chic.
However, outside show venues, street stylers have embraced more of a spring-forward appeal while dressing for 50-degree weather. On a tree-lined sidewalk, one PFW attendee posed in a pair of calf-length capri pants and a cropped jacket. Elsewhere, another guest championed an effortless French-girl vibe with a lightweight coat layered over a breezy midi skirt. She grounded her easygoing outfit in this spring’s hottest shoe trend: high-vamp heels.
With balmy temperatures and budding florals right around the corner, I’m planning to get ahead of the season by referencing the streets of Paris for outfit inspiration—and I’d suggest you do the same.
Ahead, discover a curated edit of eight looks that are guaranteed to round out your wardrobe.
Head Over (High-Vamp) Heels
Swap your simple heels for sculptural high-vamps.
Initially spotted on the Spring 2026 runways of luxury brands like Balenciaga, Jil Sander, and Toteme, high-vamp shoes have since made their way from the runways to the streets. As for how to wear this full-coverage style, follow in this fashionista’s footsteps and opt for a thin jacket, a slit skirt, and a structured shoulder bag.
Denim for the Win
Anchored in basics, this is the type of outfit you’ll wear on repeat.
This season’s denim trends are calling back to basic silhouettes—including straight leg jeans. Pictured above, stylist Gabriella Karefa-Johnson demonstrates exactly how to wear the classic look. First, keep the clothing simple with a white T-shirt and a black leather blazer. Then, amp things up a bit with scintillating accessories.
Heavy Duty Outerwear
In the face of fluctuating temps, slip into this cozy look.
While spring is oh-so close, temperature dips are to be expected. Prepare for chilly weather with a sweeping coat that’ll provide extra warmth. Give the look a ladylike twist with ballet pumps, a turtleneck dress, and a hardware-adorned handbag.
Seeing Red
The cherry red color trend continues to dominate fashion’s trend cycle, and PFW street style is proof.
As a self-proclaimed minimalist, my closet mainly consists of neutrals. However, whenever I’m in the mood to wear a splash of color, I’ll often reach for a sweet shade of cherry red. Inspired by the outfit above, I’ll coordinate a vibrant windbreaker with polished separates for a sporty-chic spin.
Neutral Territory
Don’t be surprised if this look turns you into an outfit repeater.
If you don’t want to stress about your spring wardrobe, I’d recommend using this look as a streamlined template. Defined by neutral basics that you likely already own, it’s an easy ensemble that’ll take under five minutes to assemble.
Cropped Hemlines
This spring, don’t be afraid to hike up the hemlines.
In her latest Style at Large column, fashion expert Angela Fink wrote about the rise of cropped jackets, calling them the “must-have outerwear trend for spring.” If you’d like to try the look for yourself, consider styling a high-cut buttoned jacket with a pair of capri pants for a double-cropped moment.
Five-to-Nine Attire
Here’s what to wear once you shut your laptop and leave the office.
This outfit is for all the corporate gals with a packed post-work schedule. Whether you’re heading out to drinks or dinner, this tailored suit set will rise to the occasion. Just make sure to ditch your corporate button-up for a relaxed tank.
Leather Layers
Don’t put away your leather jacket just yet.
Yes, leather is usually associated with the fall and winter seasons, but this edgy fabric can work well for spring, too. Teamed with a floaty maxi skirt, dainty ballet slippers, and a pastel pink handbag, this outfit feels appropriate for now.
