And The Sexiest American Accent Is...

Well, this is surprising!

According to this Huffington Post report, a British Airways survey of 1,000 U.K.-based travelers found that people in the United Kingdom think New Yorkers have the sexiest accent out of any Americans. Yeah, I know. I was shocked, too. I mean, I also enjoy the New York accent but recognize that it sounds like two cats in heat fighting to the death on a hot summer's day. Especially compared to the sexy lilt of an English intonation. But to each their own!

The U.K.-based travelers were asked to choose between voices from all major U.S. cities, including San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta, and Boston. Speaking of Boston, the travelers found a Bostonian accent to sound the most intelligent—or as the locals would say, 'smaaht'. (Who knows? There are several Ivy League universities in Beantown.)
