Design: Morgan McMullen

I'm a serial lipstick dater. So many lip products slide onto my desk. Some I double-tap and have all the heart eyes for. Others I ghost and leave on seen. This is #BigLipstickEnergy, an honest breakdown of how I feel about the latest lip launches. Read on for the three lipstick flings I'm keeping in rotation for now. Next week, I'll have a new roster.

Kisses Lip Lacquer in Tangerine Red
Burberry nordstrom.com

Burberry Beauty is back and better than ever with their first long-lasting liquid lip product. Expect a wet-like shine that brings a bold pigment along with it. The gel texture dries down pretty quick without leaving your lips parched, thanks to its hyaluronic acid-filled formula.

Most bright red lipglosses slide all over my face in approximately five seconds or less. The realist in me was surprised when this glossy gel texture didn't linger outside my lip lines after downing many sips of water (without a straw) and eating an un-modest lunch. Amongst Burberry's diverse family of shades, this poppy red spoke to me the most. It's bright and happy and eye-catching, which is a #mood I'm always aiming to embody.

Rouge Signature Lasting Matte Liquid Lipstick in I Amaze
L'Oréal Paris lorealparisusa.com

No one wants to be reminded of the fact that they're wearing lipstick. The best lipsticks are so weightless and easy, you forget they're there. This liquid lipstick has a matte texture—which will give your lips a rich color—but feels like a lightweight lip stain. If have wanderlust like the rest of the world, L'Oréal just launched eight new shades inspired by the sunset of Paris, and this coral nude is one of them.

Don't hate me for saying this but summer is almost over, and I'm already migrating towards shades that remind me of gorgeous fall foliage. This burnt orange shade gives me summer golden hour vibes and autumnal vibes in the best way. My bargain hunter roots loves a $12 lipstick that will carry me through multiple seasons. I'll take 10, please.

L'Absolue Mademoiselle Shine in Light It Up
Lancôme neimanmarcus.com

Dewy, succulent lips are guaranteed with this balmy lipstick made of conditioning agents like rose oil for long-lasting hydration. If you can't choose between a gloss and a balm, this juicy texture will give you the best of both worlds.

"Light It Up" is a sheer mocha shade that I implore all women with dark skin tones to try. It's a neutral that enhances my natural lip color. Each shade in the line  leaves your lips with an understated touch of color that's just enough but not too much.
