I'm a serial lipstick dater. So many lip products slide onto my desk. Some I double-tap and have all the heart eyes for. Others I ghost and leave on seen. This is #BigLipstickEnergy, an honest breakdown of how I feel about the latest lip launches. Read on for the three lipstick flings I'm keeping in rotation for now. Next week, I'll have a new roster.

This Couture Color
Le Rouge Night Noir Lipstick in Night in Gold

Givenchy sephora.com
$38.00

THE DETAILS:

This is what you call couture's version of grown-ass woman glitter, darling. This lipstick has a sheer, sparkly veil but offers buildable coverage when it comes to color. The hyaluronic acid spheres contributes to the soft glide of the texture, and this mocha shade, in particular, gives golden goddess–level shine. It's an elevated neutral that's somehow still subtle.

WHY I'M OBSESSED:

It's all in the details for me, and this sparkly black tube is truly art.  Inspired by Givenchy's first ever fashion week, this bullet is almost too pretty to use. I'll be using the heck out of this color, though, because this chocolate taupe tone is meant for trouble (fun trouble!). Give your boring, everyday nude a break and spice things up a bit with this dimensional sparkle that will volumize the look of your lips.

Beam-Me-Up Gloss
Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Indulge In It

Revlon amazon.com
$8.49
$5.97 (30% off)

THE DETAILS:

Revlon turned the faucet on with this formula, producing a gloss that's incredibly moisturizing, thanks to agave, moringa oil, and capuacu butter, and easy to apply with a better, larger applicator. And it leaves your lips with a plump, just-been-kissed effect. Your hair won't get stuck on your lips because it's seriously not sticky! Promise. Plus, it's less than $6.

WHY I'M OBSESSED:

Gloss is back and even better. I'm a reformed gloss-hater. I had completely written off all glosses because I could not deal with the stickiness. But now I'm counting my blessings, including the beauty technology that makes available amazing formulas like this, one that feels so cozy and hydrating once you apply it. I love how in one application it literally super-sizes my lips instantly. You know, if big, gorgeously full lips are your thing.

The Hot Girl Summer Shade
Rouge Pur Couture x Zoë Kravitz

Yves Saint Laurent yslbeautyus.com
$38.00

THE DETAILS:

You'll feel the same unparalleled joy that comes from gifting yourself a designer bag when you gift yourself this luxurious lipstick created by megastar and beauty icon Zoë Kravitz. The sleek, sparkly black bottle makes this lipstick feel special and extravagant—the perfect accessory for your bag. Not to mention it smells like a garden. Kravitz created a collection of reds and neutrals in satin, matte, and shimmer textures. Of course, my eyes were drawn to this bright red matte with hints of orange.

WHY I'M OBSESSED:

I interviewed my dream girl (Kravitz) last week and she told me this shade, which she named Scout, is the perfect Hot Girl Summer color. Basically, no other red lipstick matters anymore, because this one wins. Its playful, coral red hue is one of those in-your-face shades that'll steal all the attention. I put it on Monday morning and felt like going out dancing that night. I didn't, but you get the point.
