I'm a serial lipstick dater. So many lip products slide onto my desk. Some I double-tap and have all the heart eyes for. Others I ghost and leave on seen. This is #BigLipstickEnergy, an honest breakdown of how I feel about the latest lip launches. Read on for the three lipstick flings I'm keeping in rotation for now. Next week, I'll have a new roster.

This Praise-Worthy Collection of Neutrals
Strip Down Nude Lipstick in Move Your Body
Mac Cosmetics nordstrom.com

Bless MAC for creating a nude for every mood with this massive lipstick collection, which includes 24 hues so that all skin tones can find their match. What's even more game-changing about this collection is the various textures to choose from: satin, amplified cream, cream sheen, frost, matte, and satin. One thing each finish has in common is a bold color pay-off.

I know the struggle of finding the perfect neutral for my deep complexion. There was a time when the beauty industry mistakenly defined "nude" as a limiting, one-shade-fits-all hue, which left women of color completely out of the picture. For years, I was stuck with absolutely no options—except the chalky, beige shades that made my lips look unflatteringly ashy. As you can imagine, I'm overjoyed by MAC's new offerings, especially this delectable chocolate-covered shade, "Move Your Body," which reminds me of my favorite '90s icons. Honestly, I want to kiss my damn self when I'm wearing this shade!

This Autumnal Shade
Infallible Pro-matte Liquid Lipstick Les Macarons in Blackcurrant Crush
L'Oréal Paris target.com

If you're reading this, chances are you're a lipstick loyalist and very aware of how amazing L'Oréal Paris' Infallible Lipstick is. The collection has a cult following for a reason. It's one of those easy, hydrating formulas you don't have to think twice about...with a reliable texture that doesn't ever disappoint. And, lucky for us, the brand just launched new shades for fall.

Summer is over, which means it's time for pumpkin spice lattes, leather jackets, and moody lip colors. Swap your bright and sunny shades for deep, rich, and cool-toned hues to match the weather. You'll be very on-theme with this plum shade I've been loving (plums are in season through October; #TheMoreYouKnow).

This Surprisingly Wearable Hue
Major Shade Matte Liquid Lipstick in Rebel
CoverGirl Queen's Collection walmart.com

I don't know how I didn't discover CoverGirl Queen's Major Shade line sooner. Anywho, I'm bringing it to your attention so you are also no longer in the dark about this $5 superstar. Because it's made with nourishing conditioning agents, including antioxidants, you won't have to worry about your lips lacking any moisture or a bold wash of color. And in case you didn't catch that, it's only $5, friends.

This "Rebel" shade melds purple and taupe together so beautifully. It's not quite a neutral, because you can't miss the vivid violet undertone, but the blend of greyish-brown levels everything out for a cooler, softer color that's super-wearable for daytime. You may not naturally gravitate towards a purple lip color at 8 a.m., but I promise this one fits the bill. Don't knock it 'til you try it.
