I'm a serial lipstick dater. So many lip products slide onto my desk. Some I double-tap and have all the heart eyes for. Others I ghost and leave on seen. This is #BigLipstickEnergy, an honest breakdown of how I feel about the latest lip launches. Read on for the three lipstick flings I'm keeping in rotation for now. Next week, I'll have a new roster.

$17.00

THE DETAILS:

How crazy is it that in two months it will be a new decade? If you're also freaking out, it's okay, there's always a cute new lipstick to calm the nerves. Like this festive stunner, which will impart a highly-pigmented, pearlescent finish onto your lips. Get ready for your lips to shine bright like a diamond, and steal all the compliments at your holiday party.

WHY I'M OBSESSED:

This vibrant magenta packaging had me at hello. When a lipstick looks sexy before it even touches your lips, you know it's truly something. I quickly took a liking to this sparkly, star-engraved bullet, and so did my Instagram followers. I became even more smitten once I put the shade on. Contrary to its cheeky exterior, the color reads very grown-up and sultry.  Wear it to a party or for date night—you won't be disappointed.

Obsessive Opulence: MatteTrance Lipstick in Flesh 3

$40.00

THE DETAILS:

The Mother of Makeup Pat McGrath wants us all to slay this holiday season, so you can trust that her coveted Matte Trance collection is everything. After popular demand, the brand brought back this matte texture, which feels hydrating and comfortable on your lips. The formula is deeply loved for a reason.

WHY I'M OBSESSED:

I'm partial to Pat McGrath. She makes the absolute best matte lipstick I've ever tried. It does everything: stays put, feels hydrating, never feathers, and takes one single stroke to apply. Usually, I have to rub an absurd amount of lip balm on to prime my lips before applying a matte lipstick. This formula, which is full of hydrating oils, changed the game for me, allowing me to skip that step altogether. Shade-wise, it's an easy neutral I love for my skin tone.

$14.00

THE DETAILS:

Millie Bobby Brown—whose fierce selfies have makeup mavens craving every single product she's wearing on her face—was kind enough to create a beauty line of her own so we all can experience the magic. This lip oil is made with potent African mango butter and floral extracts to deeply hydrate, smooth, and nourish lips.

WHY I'M OBSESSED:

Winter is coming. I repeat: Winter is coming. When the chillier months arrive, I like to stock up on lip hydrators that actually work, and I've already gotten a head start with this one. What I love most is the simple, no-fluff ingredient list. The streamlined combo of mango butter and floral extracts exceed at getting the hydration job done, and make my lips feel like the most plush cushion. I'm so ready for a drought.
