I'm a serial lipstick dater. So many lip products slide onto my desk. Some I double-tap and have all the heart eyes for. Others I ghost and leave on seen. This is #BigLipstickEnergy, an honest breakdown of how I feel about the latest lip launches. Read on for the three lipstick flings I'm keeping in rotation for now. Next week, I'll have a new roster.

There's no lip gloss like a Pat McGrath lip gloss. Period. If you're already privy to the perfection that is her Lust Gloss (the original formula), this new addition is its sparkly, shiny, baby sister. Available in five shades, from a pale peach to this rich rose, the gloss will beam up your lips like no other. The brand refers to its finish as a "iridescent opulence," in other words: glitter, but make it fashion. Just because the formula is filled with multidimensional glitter, doesn't mean it's a mess. It's made with emollients to ensure a smooth, long-lasting finish.

Lust Gloss, is my favorite gloss of all time. It's a gloss every grown woman should have because the formula is *chef's kiss* good and the shades are the truth. Unsurprisingly, I had high hopes for this new release, and it blew me away—as the "Mother of Makeup" always does. The sparkly shades are perfectly crafted for all complexions, the tube looks so sleek, and the uses are myriad. I've worn this rosey, pinky hue alone and I've also layered it on top of a matte pink lipstick. R.I.P. to my camera roll full of these lip gloss selfies.

Before we talk about this glossy lipstick, let's talk about this gorgeously illustrated bullet. The hummingbird represents the brand's mission to give back to Amazon conservation through the spring 2020 collection. Each lipstick sold supports funding the preservation of the hummingbird’s rainforest habitat. In addition to this collector's item of a lipstick, you have to check out the rest of the line. Beautiful beauty products for a cause is something we all should get behind.

Now onto the lipstick, which is more like a luxurious balm with a tinted sheen. This shade is an easy neutral that cures dry winter lips syndrome thanks to hyaluronic acid (which will plump your lips in addition to nourishing them with hydration). Lately, it's been hard to wear matte textures because my lips are so dry, they feel like they're going to fall off. This balm is moisturizing and packed with color, leaving my lips looking healthy.

Can you tell I've been really into glosses lately? If you've been reading #BLE for a while, you know this is a new thing I'm leaning into; I used to identify as a matte lipstick loyalist. CoverGirl's latest launch includes 13 shades of an ultra hydrating gloss that feels light as a feather on your lips. The sheer, but buildable shades take a few seconds to apply and the gel-like formula leaves your lips feeling plush.

Before you judge this shade as juvenile-looking, you gotta try it. It's actually a mauve-lavender with a transparent finish that gives my lips an intergalactic look. It looks mysterious in photos, which I love, and I can't wait to use it as a lipstick topper. I just haven't found the right base color lip yet.
