Step 1
After applying a base coat, paint on a black polish to get the anti-establishment look going.

Step 2
Next, choose a few accent nails and a silver polish. With a thin pointed brush (you can find these in any beauty supply store), draw on the oblong shape with straight sides.

Step 3
Then, paint a small circle inside the tip of the oblong and wait 5 minutes for the silver polish to dry.

Step 4
Once the lacquer has set, go in with a white polish and highlight the ends of the paperclip to give it a shiny effect.
