Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly considering buying a home in the Cotswolds, giving even more weight to thethat an engagement announcement could be coming any week now.
According to the Daily Mail, Meghan and Harry are looking at properties in Oxfordshire, and hoping to settle down not too far from Highgrove House, the royal residence where Prince Harry spent much of his childhood following his mother's death.
(The Daily Mail report includes a hilarious anecdote about how the basement of that house was nicknamed "Club H" during Harry's party-filled teenage years.)
"[Prince Harry] is searching for a new home in the area," a "royal source" told the Daily Mail. "Before Meghan, he was vaguely looking in Norfolk, but didn't find what he wanted. Now, with her input, he's renewed his search."
Oxfordshire is just an hour outside of London making for quick trips into the city, and Markle has reportedly taken to its "rustic charm."
Should the royal couple put down roots in the region, they'd be in good company. Other notable residents include the Beckhams, former British Prime Minister David Cameron, and Stella McCartney.
It has also been called the "royal triangle;" several of Harry's relatives live in the area including Harry's cousin Zara, who would be close by at Princess Anne's country house, Gatcombe Park.
