Winning the how-naked-can-you-be-in-public game was Bella Hadid in her audacious Ralph & Russo gown. The one-shoulder creation was entirely sheer, bar the scattered beading, and the model wore nude underwear to preserve her modesty.
Next to the nearly-naked party was Victoria's Secret model Shanina Shaik, who wore a chainmail dress that was cut away at the sides, as well as two thigh-high splits. It was an impressive combined feat of body tape and gravity.
Fellow Victoria's Secret model Elsa Hosk chose a pink princess gown which, to the untrained eye, seemed innocuous enough until you realized that the floor-length skirt was entirely sheer, showing her nude underwear.
Then there was British model Neelam Gill, dazzling in her backless silver dress and its plunging neckline, cut-out detailing and thigh-high split.
Following in Hosk's footsteps, model Camila Morrone's traditional full-skirted dress was made using sheer fabrics. The top part was formed with gauze-effect beading, while the blue tulle skirt was see-through. The Ralph & Russo gown offers a provocative twist on the conservative Disney-esque gowns that often dominate red carpets.
