Aerial photographer Jaimen Hudson heard there were whales playing not far off-shore in Exmouth, Australia, over the weekend, so he did what any sane human would do: He flew his drone out over the water while his friend Dave Price casually paddle-boarded out to sea. The resulting footage is incredible.

The pair of whales got so eerily close to Price the scene almost looks Photoshopped. Hudson didn't think twice about filming the experience instead of being concerned that the whales would crush his friend like a bug: "The whales moved to where he was and the whole time they were very slow moving and peaceful," he told ABC.

They do seem to be peaceful, but that peacefulness could just be the smugness of knowing this man is completely at their mercy. It also could be that anything that gets to live in that absolutely surreal Australian blue water is naturally super chill though. Watch the video above.
