Hello, lovers. If you've missed Carrie Bradshaw, Samantha Jones, Charlotte York, and Miranda Hobbes talk about their dating drama, all while wearing fabulous outfits, you're in luck, because the ladies are returning to the small screen in a special Sex and the City marathon that will air on E!
This may not be the Sex and the City announcement some fans were hoping for (we're still holding out for a third film!), but in the meantime, E! is allowing viewers to binge watch every single episode of the iconic series from start to finish.
If you're wondering how this is any different from the countless times you flipped on the network and caught a few syndicated episodes, here's how: Every single SATC episode will air in chronological order, non-stop. That means no interruptions from Keeping Up With the Kardashians, WAGS or any other E! show franchise.
The marathon is scheduled to start on Friday, June 8, which is just two days after the series' 20th anniversary. The romantic comedy-drama, starring Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie, Kim Cattrall as Samantha, Kristin Davis as Charlotte, and Cynthia Nixon as Miranda first premiered on HBO on June 6, 1998. The show aired for a total of six seasons until February 22, 2004.
However, since then, its legacy has continued with two films, including Sex and the City, and Sex and the City 2, and countless syndicated episodes. As E!'s promo states, "Twenty years ago, shoes were slightly cheaper, dating didn't involve apps, and smoking was allowed in bars. A lot can change in 20 years, but we still love sex...and the city."
The Sex and the City marathon begins June 8 at 7:30 p.m. ET and ends June 10 at 7 p.m ET on E!
