The '13 Reasons Why' Twitter Is Getting Major Backlash for This Seriously Questionable Tweet

Fans are *not* pleased.

While fans are counting down the seconds until the second season of 13 Reasons Why airsthe show is posting clues all over social media about what to expect.

However, some fans are taking issue with one of the tweets from the show's official account. Just a few days ago, this was posted:

Fans were not pleased, as some see Jessica and Justin's relationship as problematic and often abusive. The tweet has since been deleted, but not before fans called out the show for trivializing a serious matter.

This isn't the first time that 13 Reasons Why has come under fire (opens in new tab) for its portrayal of serious issues like sexual assault and suicide. Selena Gomez says the new season "will be [more] empowering, (opens in new tab)" so fingers crossed that's the case.
