Our Top NYFW Looks

The Ray and the Ro each pick their three favorite looks from New York Fashion Week.

Fashion week is definitely one of our favorite holidays (yes, it is considered a holiday in our world), an occasion we celebrate by staring religiously at our favorite designers' livestream shows. Of course, the parties, the people, and the energy are intoxicating, but really, it's all about the clothes. After much difficulty, we've each tapped our three favorite looks from New York.

The Ray's picks:

3.1 Phillip Lim: I loved the sleek, understated lines of Lim's collection. The pairing of sexy neutrals and stylish plum pants creates a powerful and chic work outfit.

Band Of Outsiders: On a redhead, tomato or orange red has the potential to fall flat. However, this combo is an unexpected hit! I'd love to pair those geranium ankle pants with socks and ankle boots.

Derek Lam: Both Lam and Band of Outsiders showed vests with flowing dresses, and I totally fell for this updated boho look. I can't wait to pair fun vests with maxi dresses for a great daytime Californian look. With strappy sandals and a classic loose bun, this look would transition right into evening.

The Ro's picks:

Rebecca Minkoff: Every one of Minkoff's pieces is so versatile. I think suits are going to be huge this fall, at which point I'd take this look from day to night with a flashy, sequined top.

Alexander Wang: I love color, but black always is chic, edgy and sleek. And, no one does black better than Alexander Wang. The leather accents on that jacket are classic Wang. As for the cropped leather pants, I'm a big fan. Big.

Honor: I'm just waiting for a celebrity to rock this maxi. When I see a dress like this go down the runway, I always wish I had somewhere to wear it. Note to self: get famous or rich so I can sport this look!
