I have good news and bad news for Starbucks fans: The good news is that there's a major sale happening now on the chain's online store, with dreamy tumblers up to 50 percent off. The bad news is that the coffee chain is having the sale because it's officially closing the web store October 1.
While Starbucks didn't officially announce the reason for the clearance sale, a representative for the chain confirmed the closing to Business Insider. Starting October, you'll no longer be able to get colorful glasses, mugs, or even beverage syrups on the stores' site, but you will be able to find accessories sold by third-party sellers like Amazon and in grocery stores.
Business Insider reports that the company is looking to build "commercial partnerships" with digital companies. With the recent success of the Ban.Do and Starbucks collaboration, which gave us millennial pink tumblers and cute-as-hell notebooks, it sounds like we'll still have Starbucks merchandise in our future.
