Alcoholic advent calendars seem to be this year's biggest Christmas trend, and now budget supermarket Aldi has joined in, launching its own purse-friendly option. Wine fans will be able to open the door on a new mini bottle of wine every day, with a mix of red, white, rosé and fizz on offer, and brands such as JP Chenet and Calvet. All of the wines are from France, except the sparkling which hail from Italy and Spain.
Unlike a lot of alcohol advent calendars out there, Aldi's is relatively easy on the wallet. Retailing at $60, it works out at around $2.50 a bottle! In stores starting in November, the calendar is expected to be a sell out so you better be quick.
