CFDA-mazing: Ten Best Dressed from the 2011 Awards

See what our favorite designers, models, celebs, and industry insiders wore to Monday night's ceremony.

Mary-Kate Olsen in The Row & Chanel, and Ashley Olsen in The Row

We were psyched to see our favorite mega-moguls sporting pieces from their much-lauded line The Row. While MK chose an asymmetrical maxi skirt topped off with a gold sequined Chanel pre-fall blazer, Ash slipped into a pale blue dress from the twins' collection. But the best part of the pair's ensembles? Those ladylike exotic-skin carryalls, both of which are from The Row's upcoming fall handbag line.

Alessandra Ambrosio in Prabal Gurung

Is it just us, or have those Victoria's Secret Angels been stepping up their style game in a major way lately? Alessandra killed it in a crimson gown from Prabal's fall collection, which she paired with a wonderful silver collar by Robert Lee Morris. With its draped neckline and bare back, the Swarovski Award for Womenswear winner's design was a stellar fit for the model.

Amber Heard in Cynthia Rowley

The blonde actress donned this beautifully-embroidered custom design for the occasion, which she cleverly teamed with saffron-toned velvet pumps (also from Rowley's line). We love the colorful contrast of the golden and blush hues against Heard's crimson lips!

Chanel Iman in BCBG Max Azria

Talk about knowing your colors—this turquoise resort dress is a great fit for Chanel in every way. While the frock's length and the model's choice of glam accessories make the look black-tie-ready, those bare shoulders and billowing sleeves have us jonesing for an island getaway. Resort done right!

Erin Fetherston in Erin Fetherston

With her impeccable platinum bob and penchant for pastels, Erin herself is pretty much the poster child for her own uber-feminine label. She looked lovely in this multi-tiered confection from her brand new Resort 2012 line. Talk about ruffling some fashion feathers!

Karolina Kurkova in Diane von Furstenberg

Showing her support for the CFDA's president, Karolina turned up in a emerald sequined ensemble by DVF herself. The wrap silhouette is super-flattering, while the hood adds a nicely quirky touch. And check out those latticework Christian Louboutins—covetable footwear indeed.

Liv Tyler in Proenza Schouler

Ultimately taking home the win for Womenswear Designer of the Year, Proenza's Jack McCullough and Lazaro Hernandez had a very good night on Monday. We're pretty sure the fact that their date's techno-patterned frock and PS11 clutch placed her squarely among the evening's best-dressed didn't hurt, either.

Karlie Kloss in Jason Wu

One of the industry's youngest (and sweetest!) catwalkers, Karlie attended the festivities on the arm of her dress's creator. We think the pair make a dashing duo, and we love the simple lines and bold scarlet shade of the model's chiffon gown. We couldn't be happier that Wu's making his mark on handbags now, too—check out that little satin clutch, complete with the designer's signature owl logo.

Liya Kebede in Derek Lam

Thought she radiates elegance in anything she wears, the supermodel, actress, philanthropist, and Lemlem designer (what a resumé!) opted for a simple, streamlined black and white maxi dress custom-made by Lam himself. The results speak for themselves—utter perfection.

Miranda Kerr in Michael Kors

We've already waxed envious over Miranda's post-baby body, but we still can't get over how fabulous the new mama looks. Mrs. Orlando Bloom teamed her Kors look, which featured daring cutouts and an up-to-there slit, with fantastic metallic accents. How Wonder Woman-esque are those gleaming cuffs and belt? We love.
