Exclusive Interview with Drew Barrymore Video
Behind the scenes with February cover star Drew Barrymore
Hi. I'm Drew Barrymore and you're here at our Marie Claire photo shoot. Work and home life, it's a really tough dynamic to feel like you gave equal amounts of love and attention to every bit. The greatest joy and satisfaction in life definitely comes from any day where you can keep balance to it. Definitely to eat my way around the world or eat my way through the world. Any time I can try different cuisines and ethnicities and different plates, anything that's food-oriented that's always like how the bucket list for us is they're full of thought. So a positive frame of mind is going to make you look better on the outside than any makeup on the planet. However I think that walking out of the house without concealer for me is like me walking out buck naked. My favorite Flower concealer is the Skincognito foundation stick because it's a very cream coverage so I can move it around with my fingers very easily. What song puts me in a good mood immediately is the Passion Pit song Carried Away. It's so jovial and like happy and I like that the words seem a little bit darker than the song so I think there's something like mental value and awesome with like something's not going so well but your super excited about it and I just think that song is good. What is on my feet? I think you're like Steve Madden. Yes. Steve Madden boots. I'm confused because when I first started making babies I was a size 6 shoe and now I'm a size 8 and I keep thinking that maybe that will change. I was 11 months old when I made my first dollar and it was for a Gaines Burger Puppy Chow commercial, and I got the job because I think the dog bit my nose in the auditions and I think everybody jumped back and apparently in a comedic way was like oh God, lawsuit and instead of crying or freaking out as a baby I threw my head back and started laughing and I think they were like hired, you did it.
