Blake Lively will star in and executive produce The Husband's Secret, an upcoming film based on the eponymous best-selling book by Liane Moriarty, the author of Big Little Lies.
In the vein of the hit HBO series, The Husband's Secret is also a murder mystery. Lively will play Cecilia Fitzpatrick, a busy wife and mom who discovers a dark secret her husband has kept from her for years, leading her to realize that her whole life with him was built on lies and murder.

As exciting as it sounds, don't mark your calendars yet—the film still doesn't have a release date. Chris Weitz, Paul Weitz, and Andrew Miano join Lively as producers on the adaptation, which is slated for CBS Films.
The Gossip Girl star last appeared in The Shallows in 2016, but her role in The Husband's Secret isn't the only intriguing project she has coming down the pipe: She'll also play an MMA fighter in the upcoming film Bruised, helmed by The Notebook director Nick Cassavetes.
