Things that need to stop: Mommy-shaming celebrities—or anyone—for just trying to do their damn best. It goes without saying that having a platform comes with a lot of opinions, but Ashley Graham is going through it after changing her baby’s diaper on the floor (note: with a changing pad) at Staples. Which, if you’ve ever dealt with a diaper emergency, is extremely relatable and not that big of a deal!
Ashley shared a photo of herself changing the diaper on Instagram, writing, “Sh💩t just got real! First diaper blow up while running errands with no restroom in sight! Thank God I remembered to put the changing mat in the diaper bag!!!”

Unfortunately, comments on Ashley’s IG are swarming with judgmental people shaming her for changing a diaper on the floor in a public space. But keep in mind: (a) She used a changing pad and (B) as she said, there wasn’t a restroom. In other words, there was no other option.
On top of all the mommy-shaming on Insta, Wendy Williams has taken it upon herself to slam Ashley on her TV show. “I don’t like what she did," Williams said perEntertainment Tonight. "Now, as a mother, you hate it when you go places and there are no changing tables….So she’s in Staples with her 7-week-old son…and he does an explosive. So she changed that in the aisle. Personally speaking, I don’t want to see that. If you’re taking your 7-week-old baby to Staples, you’re watching the baby more than you’re watching where the Sharpies and rings of paper and cartridges for your printer are....I just wish she would’ve done something different. This is not cool and I don’t know why we have to know about it on your Instagram.”
Fortunately, other moms are being supportive of the supermodel. Amy Schumer wrote, “That’s a Queen right there 🥊”; JWoww wrote, “I know that feeling 😂😂 gotta do what u gotta do”; and Sara Foster wrote, “We’ve all been there 🎉.”
In conclusion: Let Ashley live!
