Mary-Kate Olsen Is Reportedly Staying With Ashley Amid "Heated" Divorce Drama

E! spoke with a source who explained how Mary-Kate Olsen's twin Ashley is helping her during her divorce and gave greater detail on how ugly things with Olivier Sarkozy have gotten.

Yesterday, news broke that Mary-Kate Olsen is seeking an emergency divorce from Olivier Sarkozy, the 50-year-old French banker that she married in November 2015. Olivier and Mary-Kate first started dating in 2012. E! spoke with a source who explained how her twin Ashley is helping her during this time and gave greater detail on how ugly the split between Mary-Kate and Olivier has gotten.

According to TMZ and E!, Mary-Kate claims in court documents that she originally signed a divorce petition on April 17 but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, New York courts would not accept anything other than emergency divorce filings.

TMZ reports that Mary-Kate’s attorney got an email from Olivier this week giving her a May 18 deadline to get all her belongings out of their New York City apartment. Mary-Kate claims in court documents he terminated the lease "without her knowledge."

Olsen asked to have until May 30 because she can’t meet the deadline due to ongoing quarantine guidelines in the city during the coronavirus pandemic. Olsen says he hasn’t responded to her request. She states that she needs to file an emergency divorce petition to protect her property, as it "would trigger an automatic court order preventing him from disposing of her property," TMZ writes.

Where is Mary-Kate right now? E! was told that she’s quarantining with her sister Ashley and a group of friends outside of the city.

"It's gotten very ugly between them [Mary-Kate and Olivier]," the source said, calling it a "heated divorce." Mary-Kate is "done with constant drama."
