Obvious Child is the Rom Com We've All Been Waiting For

Jenny Slate proves once again that she's really, really funny

We've loved comedian Jenny Slate ever since she accidentally f-bombed on Saturday Night Live, and then went on, with her husband, to create the genius web short-turned-kid's book, Marcel the Shell with Shoes On. (opens in new tab) Now we're poised to adore her even more, for her turn as Donna, a down and out comedian with a little unplanned pregnancy problem--and a refreshingly progressive attitude toward abortion--in newbie director Gillian Robespierre's rom-com-with-a-soul, Obvious Child.

We'll have to wait till June to see the movie, but if the just-released trailer doesn't make you laugh, you should probably make sure you're not dead inside.

(Bonus: Gaby Hoffmann!)
