Beyoncé gave the most Beyoncé performance of all time last night at the Tidal x 1015 charity concert. As the closet act, she performed WHILE BLEEDING (her earring had ripped her ear) like nothing had happened:
She started her performance with multiple holograms of her and her internet-famous ponytail braid slaying on stage. The visual was just stunning:
Bey then launched into a performance of "6 Inch". This involved her singing and dancing while lying on a shelf:
Her second song was a powerful rendition of "Haunted".
And she wrapped up with a beautifully-sung "All Night". But it was her speech after that was her most important moment—the one every young person should watch:
Bey made a brief appeal to all of us to vote in the election. "It can be easy to feel helpless and want to just block the world out," she started. "But doing nothing right now is not an option, y'all. I know it seems like things are bad, but if you think they can't get worse, just ask your grandparents. Remember Barack Obama is our president. You made that happen. Young people made that happen. We are not helpless. The fire is still burning. Please go out and vote this November. So many people have died and sacrificed so much for us to have our voice. We have to use it. Get in formation, use our voices to do something great for our children. God bless y'all. Have a good night."
And that is what a legend performing looks like. (As if you didn't already know.)
