Cameron Diaz's Thoughts on Marriage Are Absurdly Sweet

Turns out Benji Madden is #RelationshipGoals.

When it comes to marriage, Cameron Diaz's attitude is decidedly "hell yes." Sure, celebrity relationships are a slippery slope (see: 2015, AKA the Year Love Died (opens in new tab)), but Diaz says having Benji Madden as a partner is key to her personal development.

"I do think that marriage, when you can grow with someone, it's very important," she said during an appearance on Ellen. "Someone asked me, 'What's your favorite thing about being married?' and I said, 'I just learned so much about myself. I didn't know these things. I would have never known them if I didn't have my husband to help me.'"

Of course, there are also some downsides to tying the knot: "They said, 'What's the worst thing about being married?'" Diaz continued. "It's like, 'Well, I learned all these things about myself that I wish I didn't know. And I wouldn't have learned them if I didn't get married.' So it's like this double-edged sword."

Double-edged sword aside, Diaz seems head-over-heels for Madden and wouldn't trade her marriage for the world. "I'm just so grateful for it because I couldn't do it without my husband," she said. "And I couldn't do it with anybody else except him."

This is cute. Like, ridiculously so. But also, now seems like a good time to listen to "Single Ladies."
