Rory Gilmore's dad, Christopher Hayden, is a leather-loving dude that most Gilmore Girls fans have no beef with. Until the actor who plays him, David Sutcliffe, revealed that he wants Rory and Dean to be end game on Netflix's Gilmore Girls revival. Um, what now?
"I'm not even sure where she's at, but I'm partial to, who's the first boyfriend?" David told USA Today [insert]. "Yes, Dean. I was going to say Jess, but I mean Dean. You know, I liked all the young actors that played her boyfriends. I know they're not going to end up together but, Rory and Dean seem like a good couple."
Okay, the good news is that Rory and Dean clearly aren't end game. But that aside, what show has David been watching?! It's a truth universally acknowledged that Dean is the very definition of "nope"—and not just because of his stubbornly middle-parted hair. Dean cheated on his wife, has little ambition, and doesn't stimulate Rory's intellectual curiosity in any way, shape, or form.
Furthermore, David couldn't even remember the name of the character he's rooting for, that's how forgettable Dean is. On that note: "who's the first boyfriend?" will henceforth be our motto going into this revival.
