Taylor Swift and British actor Joe Alwyn, the couple who this time last year were just secretly dating, are somewhat-secretly getting more serious, a new report from The Sun’s Dan Wootton (who broke news of the two dating last May), has it. These days, Swift is spending so much time at Alwyn’s north London, Crouch End place that his friends are joking she’s practically living with him. "She and Joe haven’t quite got to that stage though," Wooten's source cautioned, but the two are seemingly getting quite close.
As the source explained, "Taylor has been spending a lot of time at Joe’s house, and has been enjoying going out with his pals to their favorite local haunts. She always tries to keep a low profile but has been having a lot of fun with the group. And some have even been joking that it’s as if she’s moved in with him, as Taylor doesn’t have her own place to live in when she’s staying in the UK."
Swift has spent 2018 largely out of the spotlight, checking in from Reputation tourrehearsals on her Instagram story every now and then. Swift hasn’t been photographed out by paparazzi, so the tour rehearsals could be in London…or elsewhere.
Swift and Alwyn were first revealed to be dating last May, but they had been together for several months already at that point. Swift went out in disguises when they were together in London, so they were undetected.
People reported in August last year that Swift was glad to be keeping their relationship private. "Her decision to keep her relationship with Joe quiet is making her happy," a source told the outlet then. "They have been getting to know each other slowly without any pressure.” The most public remarks Swift has made about Alwyn have been on her Reputation album, where at least seven love songs seem to be about him and .
Swift’s confirmed next big public move will be the start of her Reputation world tour on May 8th. There’s a possibility beforehand that she and Alwyn could make their red carpet couple debut at the New York City Met Gala at May 7th, though considering her first show is in Glendale, Arizona—a nearly six hour flight away—it’s not entirely likely.
