A New Episode of 'Tiger King' Could Be On Its Way, According to Jeff Lowe
One of the subjects of Netflix's hit documentary series suggested that the streaming service is working on another installment.
Netflix's Tiger King documentary series (opens in new tab) is a relatively lengthy seven episodes long, but as its tagline promises, the show crams enough "murder, mayhem, and madness" into its runtime to justify every installment. And now, according to one of the subjects (opens in new tab) of the series, Netflix could potentially be creating one more episode of its latest hit show.
If the new episode does pan out, it will have been announced in the most Tiger King-worthy way possible: via Cameo (opens in new tab), the website that allows fans to order customized videos from celebrities. On Saturday, Los Angeles Dodger Justin Turner posted to Twitter a Cameo clip made by Jeff Lowe. In case you need a big cat enthusiast refresher, Lowe is the owner of Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park, the zoo founded and formerly owned by Joseph Maldonado-Passage, also known as Joe Exotic.
After teasing Turner and his wife, Kourtney, for "wasting seven hours" watching him, Lowe revealed that more Tiger King could be coming our way.
"Netflix is adding one more episode, we'll be on next week," he said. "We're filming here tomorrow. Take care, stay safe, and put your mask on.
So our friend @christie_dish listened to the podcast, @HoldingKourt and after last weeks episode decided to send us this!!! 🚨BREAKING NEWS FOLKS🚨There will be 1 more episode of #TigerKing on@Netflix pic.twitter.com/YeRSIlDKTJApril 4, 2020
Netflix itself hasn't confirmed that a new episode is in the works, so don't pin your hopes on catching up with Lowe, Maldonado-Passage, and all the other big cat enthusiasts just yet. But the streaming service has already offered a bit of new Tiger King content, by way of a brief jailhouse interview with Maldonado-Passage (opens in new tab). And while the coronavirus outbreak has largely ground the entertainment industry to a halt, both Oklahoma, home of G.W. Park, and South Carolina, home of Doc Antle's Myrtle Beach Safari zoo, are among the nine states (opens in new tab) that have resisted state-wide stay-at-home-orders. So it definitely seems possible that Netflix could be working on a new Tiger King installment.
