The Hood By Air Models Wore an X-Rated Makeup Look on the Runway

Hint: the brand's latest collaboration is with PornHub.

When asked by The Cut what the inspiration for the hair, makeup, and nails was for the Hood By Air show at NYFW this season, the team of artists described it as "mischievous children who got into household accidents, like getting into Vaseline."

But if you have a dirty mind, the gooey substance that was heavily smeared on the models' foreheads, cheeks, nails, and hair, also seemed to resemble a certain bodily fluid (if you catch my drift).

It didn't help that the show was in collaboration with the porn site PornHub and the models, many of whom were wearing clothes that read "wench," walked to a soundtrack of what The Cut described as, "gurgling, gagging, and spitting noises."

There was a science to getting the "Vaseline" look of the substance for the makeup just right. MAC makeup artist Inge Grognard mixed Egyptian Magic, MAC Cosmetics Mixing Medium Shine, and theater makeup to create it.

For the hair, Amy Farid used Bumble and bumble Curl Anti-Humidity Gel-Oil for the slick, goopy look.

And manicurist Mar y Soul gave the models a chipped French manicure using polish from Duri Cosmetics with a glob of Vaseline to top it off.
