When it comes to flowers, we can't think of a girl who doesn't love to receive a bunch. For Denise Porcaro, owner and head florist of Flower Girl, a decidedly adorable flower shop in downtown New York, creating stunning bunches of blooms is part of her everyday life. With a background in production design, Porcaro opened Flower Girl in 2004, after discovering her creative outlet in flowers and creating bunches for family and friends. With a penchant for seasonally available blooms custom-made for each client (arrangements often include unusual branches, vases and beautiful plants), Porcaro focuses on designs that are reminiscent of a garden posy or beautiful wildflowers plucked from a field.
Here, she shares a glimpse into her weekend, complete with must-visit brunch spots, beautiful flowers, delicious meals, and cozy fireside moments—via Instagram of course!
