Daisy Lowe and Will Cameron got Valentine's Day (aka Day Two of Fashion Week) off to a rowdy start, kissing and mugging for the photographers alongside Lily Collins (that would be Phil's daughter) at the Lacoste fall fashion show. The collection, which teetered on the monochromatic side, featured a male model named Rene that bore eerily similar characteristics to President Barack Obama (but more on that later). My friend Hilary Alexander, the fashion editor of The Daily Telegraph in London, made an astute observation about the show's designer, Christophe Lemaire, as we waited for the show to start. "Christophe creates clothes that are a chic version of Abercombie & Fitch," she said.
Jim Shi was born in Brussels, Belgium and grew up in Paris before moving to New York City. For the past four and a half years, Shi was fashion news editor of IMG's fashion and media industry publication The Daily and editor of its sister web site, Fashion Week Daily. He has covered Fashion Weeks in New York, Milan, and Paris.
