Celeb Stylist Kate Young To Design Line for Target

The fashion team at Target is giving us a lot to look forward to these days: Prabal Gurung's collection for the retailer hits stores next month, and today, Target announced that it's teaming up with one of the most influential celebrity stylists out there, Kate Young, for a limited-edition line that drops this spring.

Young, who was named Hollywood's most powerful stylist by The Hollywood Reporter in 2012, has worked with some of the fashion-savvy actresses out there, including Michelle Williams, Natalie Portman, Rooney Mara, and Rachel Weisz, and she's a consultant for plenty of leading design talents in the industry, like Jason Wu — a Target-collab veteran! — and Derek Lam. In her Target collection, she hopes to lend a touch of the high-fashion element that she brings to her Hollywood clients, and she'll design a series of special-occasion dresses in addition to separates, jewelry, handbags, and shoes. “With this collection, I wanted to design standout pieces that allow women to experiment with fashion and create their own red carpet moments,” she explained.

Much like Young's personal style, we can expect to see modern, sophisticated designs with a little bit of edge, and with the prices starting at $29.99 for apparel and $14.99 for accessories, we plan on picking up plenty of the goods when they become available on April 14.
