When it comes to healthy eating, a triumphant Day One is motivation for Day Two, and so on. Dr. Louis Aronne, author of the new book The Skinny, offers tips for a successful start:
Have a big veggie egg-white omelet for breakfast. It fills you up and keeps you in control the whole day.
Avoid sweet liquids. Research shows that the more soda, juice, or mocha lattes you drink, the hungrier you get.
Schedule your workout within two hours after eating; any longer, and you may binge after exercising.
Try bean sprouts. The texture is reminiscent of rice, so they'll curb your craving for refined carbs.
