Justin Trudeau and his family channeled their inner superheroes for Halloween yesterday. The Canadian prime minister dressed up as Superman's Clark Kent for the holiday while First Lady Sophie Gregoire Trudeau and their eight-year-old daughter Ella-Grace dressed as different versions of Wonder Woman. Their eldest child Xavier, 10, was a werewolf, and their youngest, three-year-old Hadrien, was Skye from the Canadian cartoon Paw Patrol.
"Have a Super Halloween!" the father of three captioned a family photo on Instagram:
The Trudeaus joined many other families dressed in costume for a night out trick-or-treating around Ottawa's Rideau Hall.
Through the family of five absolutely nailed their group costume, Hadrien won the internet over by defying gender norms in a pink dress.
The prime minister also flaunted his costume solo earlier in the day at work. While heading to Question Period, he came sweeping down the stairs in a suit and pair of black glasses, but opened up his shirt to reveal the Superman logo underneath. "You know, I gotta do it," he joked in English and French.
Once again, Twitter had a lot to say about it:
Seriously, we'd like to keep this GIF on loop forever:
This is only the latest of the Trudeau family's streak of amazing Halloween costumes. Last year, the Prime Minister and his son wore looks inspired by The Little Prince.
The year before that, the First Couple went trick-or-treating with the kids in coordinating Star Wars costumes.
We're already counting down for the Trudeaus' next Halloween.
