Update, 9/23: Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are getting on with our lives.
"Our whole thing was: You know, we're just going to be cool about this. It is what it is," Shelton said while discussing his split on the Bobby Bones Show Wednesday. "We're buddies."
And that's how you do an amicable divorce.
Update, 8/8: Getting *super* personal with fans while performing at WE Fest 2015 in Detroit Lakes, Minn., Miranda Lambert opened up about her sad split from Blake Shelton, joking she's in dire need of a drink.
"I wish I've been drinking all day, I deserve it," the country superstar told the crowd. "I just got divorced."
Concertgoers took to social media to show support, sharing Lambert's sentiment—some even letting her know they wouldn't mind throwing back a few beers with her.
Oh, and then one fan said they saw the 31-year-old tearing up while singing her break-up anthem "Over You." 😢
Update, 7/25: We thought love was dead after hearing about Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton's sad split. However, in typical Miranda-and-Blake fashion, these two couldn't help but lighten the mood just a bit. How so? Oh, you know, just tweeting each other five days after confirming their divorce.
Handling heartbreak like pros, they decided to celebrate the release of their friend Ashley Monroe's new album in a *very* casual Twitter exchange:
When a suspicious fan suggested the tweets must have been pre-scheduled, Blake was quick to correct him:
And then, in the best/most unexpected tweet of all, Miranda poked fun at Blake pushing a baby carriage, because why not?
Hmm, maybe not all love is dead.
Update, 7/21: Just when we thought we couldn't get any sadder about this split, a fan has posted an emotional video revealing that Lambert hinted at the breakup over the weekend. Just two days before the couple made their announcement, the country singer broke down midway through a performance of "The House That Built Me," during the Cheyenne Frontier Days Festival in Wyoming.
"No one wants to cry in front of 19,000 people," Lambert said to the crowd. "I think you know this song so will y'all sing it to me?"
The song was originally written for Shelton, but he gave it to Lambert when he realized she loved it so much.
Excuse us while we recover...

Original,7/20: Grab a box of tissues and get ready to cry: Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton are divorcing. First Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, then Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick, now Miranda and Blake. Is summer 2015 the worst season for celebrity couples in history?
A representative for the couple confirmed the news in a statement to the Associated Press.
"This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends, and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter."
Love is dead.
