The inmates at Litchfield are about to do a lot more time. Netflix has announced it's renewing Orange is the New Black for a whopping three more seasons, ensuring that the show lasts for at least seven seasons. And creator and showrunner Jenji Kohan has signed on to work on the whole thing.
"Three more years! Not quite a political term, but still plenty of time to do some interesting things," Kohan said in a statement. "In some cultures, 'May you lead an interesting life,' is a curse, but I don't live in those cultures."
The cast is celebrating the big news on Twitter:
Season four of the show premieres on June 17, and the first trailer is already insane. Here's to way more of Litchfield—and even more chances for Uzo Aduba to deservingly win every trophy known to man.
