Cara Delevingne has been focusing on her acting lately—she's starred in 2015's Paper Towns, and the upcoming Suicide Squad movie among other gigs—and said in an interview with British newspaper The Times last year that she's "not doing fashion work any more." But she took to Twitter last night to clear up some things about her modeling, and her relationship with the industry:
She went on to talk about how her depression has affected her career:
Delevingne has been open about depression during her school years. At a Women in the World summit last year she said, "I was completely suicidal, didn't want to live anymore. I thought that I was completely alone. I also realized how lucky I was and what a wonderful family, wonderful friends I had, but that didn't matter…I have so many messages in terms of young girls and how mental illness in terms of depression is not something to be ashamed of."
Now Delevingne is back to modeling again (it was announced yesterday she's a new face of Saint Laurent!); she shared some of the gorgeous shots from the fashion brand's new campaign on Instagram:
