Nicki Minaj surprise-dropped her album Queen today, and if you thought her feud with Cardi B was over, you might be wrong. Fans think one of the songs is one big Cardi-diss track.
Okay, here are the various theories floating around the interwebs. Nicki raps on her song "Ganja Burns" about an unnamed woman. She says:
However, if you actually listen to the song, it really sounds like she says "Bardi" instead of body. There's definitely an "R" in there, and people think she's calling Cardi out by name (nickname, technically). There's more! Later in the song she says, "Yo, you can't wear Nicki wig and then be Nicki."
Back in 2017 when G Eazy's "No Limit" music video came out, fans were quick to say that Cardi's look is a lot like Nicki's. (Their words, not mine.)
And when they tweeted this theory at Nicki, she responded "I’m glad y’all peeped."
Plus, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B use the same wig stylist, and Nicki used him first.
In one verse, Nicki also raps:
Unlike a lot of these hoes whether wack or lit
At least I can say I wrote every rap I spit"
Which, according to Complex, is a knock at how many credited writers Cardi B has on her album. Nicki Minaj has way less on hers, which means she wrote more of the songs herself. So! After presenting all this evidence, the only remaining question is...
