This Is the Embarrassing Dance Video Ryan Gosling Does Not Want You to See

La La Land, dirty dancing and so much cringing.

Hey girl, there's a dance video going round the internet that Ryan Gosling really, really, really does not want you to see.

Long before the sexy star of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9fUqiav_SA was this generation's Gene Kelly, he was just a little boy in silver Hammer pants grooving his heart out as part of a children's dance troupe.

That naughty Graham Norton uncovered this LOL-worthy video and, against Ryan Gosling's wishes, showed it to his studio audience… and superstar guests Emma Stone, Ben Affleck and Sienna Miller.

"I wish I could say someone said, 'You have to wear this', but that was my idea," Gosling cringed. "That was my idea! I thought, 'I have a vision for this number'. It's purple and silver Hammer pants!"

Ryan isn't the only one with an embarrassing dance history. His La La Land and Crazy, Stupid, Love co-star Emma Stone nearly mucked up one of their most memorable dance scenes because of a childhood gymnastics injury.

"We do Crazy, Stupid, Love and I know that we're going to do the Dirty Dancing lift," she remembered. "I don't realise, however, that I have an internalised phobia of being lifted over someone's head at the height of about six feet.

"I run to the lift and Ryan lifts me over his head - and what did I do, Ryan?"

"I've never had this happen," he began. "But I imagine if a possum fell out of a tree and tried to scratch your eyes out. It would be something similar!"

Yikes. Luckily, Emma conquered her phobia by the time she had to film the many wondrous dance sequences for her Golden Globe-winning musical La La Land.

The Graham Norton Show continues next Friday (December 20) on BBC One with the alright, alright, alright lineup of Academy Award winner Matthew McConaughey and pop's comeback kid Ed Sheeran.
