The first trailer for Britney Ever After has landed, confirming once and for all that Lifetime's Britney biopic is going to be a dramatic hot mess. Actress Natasha Burnett recently called the experience of playing Britney "traumatic", and indeed the first footage focuses on Britney as she hits "rock bottom" during the mid-2000s.

"I'm not gonna say I was fine, 'cause I wasn't," Bassett's Britney drawls, as we see glimpses of her shaving her head, attacking paparazzi with an umbrella, and marrying Kevin Federline (Clayton Chitty). There's no sign of Justin Timberlake (Nathan Keyes) here, but rest assured he'll play a big part in the movie, which chronicles Britney's rise to global stardom, her struggles in the public eye, her downfall and her "triumphant resurrection."

Britney Ever After premieres February 18 on Lifetime. Set your DVRs now.
