Jennifer Aniston has a big night ahead of her at the Golden Globes as a nominee, presenter, and woman poised to have a public reunion with her ex-husband-turned-friend (opens in new tab) and fellow Golden Globes nominee Brad Pitt. So she dressed to make an impression. The Morning Show star wore a black Dior Haute Couture dress on the Golden Globes red carpet. She posed solo.
Aniston is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Drama for The Morning Show. Ahead of the award show, Aniston was photographed on vacation (opens in new tab) with Jimmy Kimmel, Jason Bateman, Molly McNearney, and Amanda Anka in Cancun during the New Year.
Aniston gave an interview to People (opens in new tab) last month where she spoke about how she first found her confidence in her twenties, when she was on the cusp of having her breakout role as Rachel Green on the show.
“[I found confidence] by getting honest with myself in terms of my relationship with my family,” she started. “Speaking my truth to them without fear and therefore my work reflected that. And then Friends came. If there were any naysayers in my family, ‘This will never… you’ll never make a dime.’ Just watch me. Don’t threaten me that way. God knows now I’m going to make a couple of dimes.”
Aniston also chimed in on reports that a Friends reunion special (opens in new tab) was in the works for HBO Max. She said she knows “nothing. And I will just continue with…we’re trying. It’s a never ending question, isn’t it? What else could make a group of six actors feel more proud. It’s bringing people joy on a daily basis.”
