  • The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have shared new images of their youngest son, Prince Louis, ahead of his second birthday tomorrow.
  • In the photos, Prince Louis wears a checkered button-down shirt and navy slacks, an ensemble coincidently similar to an outfit his father Prince William wore in 2014.
  • The photos of the young prince were taken by his mother, Kate Middleton, earlier this month at their Anmer Hall estate.

Prince Louis seems to be taking a few style cues from his father, Prince William.

On Wednesday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared new photos of their youngest son via their Kensington Royal Instagram account, a day ahead of the young royal's second birthday. In the photos, Prince Louis is beaming from ear to ear and donning an adorable checkered blue button-down shirt—an outfit that coincidentally matched one previously worn by his father.

During a 2014 trip to Australia with his wife Duchess Kate and a then-infant Prince George, Prince William rocked a similarly casual ensemble. While gazing at animals at the Sydney Taronga Zoo, the second in line to the throne was photographed wearing an almost identical checkered button-down with navy blue slacks.

In the realm of men's fashion, this outfit combo is by no means unique to the Cambridges, but it's still nonetheless endearing to see the father-son duo rock the same styling choices.

"Sharing a sneak peek of Prince Louis’s handiwork ahead of his second birthday! 🎨," reads Kensington Palace's Instagram caption for the images shared today. Duchess Kate, a photography aficionado, captured the photos of her youngest son earlier this month. Currently, the Cambridges are quarantining at their country estate in Sandringham while following government orders to stay at home amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
