Prince William Talks Kate Middleton's 2010 Proposal Deets

Our friends at Marie Claire UK got a sneak peek at Prince William's upcoming documentary, New Hope, New Father, in which the new dad discusses everything from his parenting chops to his love for Africa (passed down from his mother, Princes Diana) and, of course, to the Duchess to his Duke of Cambridge, Kate Middleton. For any royal-lover, the emotional interview is a must-watch!

In the documentary, he discusses how his 2010 proposal to Kate Middleton in Kenya wasn't fully planned. "I didn't really plan it that far in advance, like I just knew I wanted it to feel comfortable where I did it and I wanted it to mean something, other than just the act of getting engaged," he said. "She understands what it means to me being in Africa, and my love of conservation." Additionally, Wills talked about how he's grown more noticeably more emotional since the birth of little George. "Suddenly you start thinking of like, wow, there is stuff you want to safeguard for the future. I've always believed it, but to actually really feel it as well, it's coming through powerfully now as well."

Prince William's Passion: New Hope, New Father will air on CNN Sept. 15 at 10 p.m. EST.
