Every woman has that one item or style of clothing she wears to death (I can personally attest to this), and celebrities—despite their access to top designers—are no different. Ariana Grande has her oversize pullovers, Kate Middleton has her skirt suits, Meghan Markle has her panama hat, and Pippa Middleton? Well, she has her wrap dresses (and wedge espadrilles).
Diane von Furstenberg invented the beloved style in 1974 and sold more than five million wrap dresses by 1976. While there have been many color and print iterations, the silhouette has remained the same: one half of the dress crosses over the other, forming a v-shape neckline, and ties wrap around the body to accentuate the waist. This, plus a billowy skirt that flows away from the body, flatters virtually every figure. You can find the wrap dress in a maxi or mini option—both of which Pippa owns.
The star has worn this classic dress style since 2007 (or perhaps before, but Getty Images won't allow me to go back any further) both casually and to events. She recently wore this J.Crew wrap dress while pregnant, proving it works as stylish maternity wear, too!
Ahead, check out all the times Pippa's worn the wrap dress. And if you're thinking, "I should probably get one now," go forth. I found 20 must-buy options to kick off your search, below.
