We hear the message time and time again: technology is not good for our health. But does it stop us from using it? Nope.
But just to keep you in the loop, the latest health issue our smartphones are definitely causing us is 'Smartphone Pinky' - or a bent little finger from the way we hold our phones. Cool.
Twitter users have been photographing their supposedly wonky little fingers, and placing the blame firmly upon the shoulders of our humble little smartphones.
Fine, we can definitely see some bumps in the above. But we're not sure we're convinced. Holding your hands out straight causes you to tense a bit anyway which makes your fingers point out, doesn't it?
And if I'm being honest, both of my little fingers seem to stick out at equal distance from the rest of my fingers. Likewise, both have little bumps in when I hold them palm-up, so I don't really know what I'm looking for. Or maybe I've just got double-deformed hands, who knows?
But one Japanese company, mobile phone provider NTT Docomo, is insistent it IS a thing; and says it's all down to the fact that we support the weight of our phones with just one small finger.
In fact, they're even creating guides about how to hold your phones for minimum damage, or something.
But it's all just evolution, isn't it. Nothing to worry about. Let's get back to spreading vicious rumors that bacon causes cancer, or whatever else they're scaremongering us about. STOP RUINING ALL OUR FUN.
