Michelle Obama REALLY Wants You to Have a Glass of Water

Michelle Obama has joined forces with Partnership for a Healthier America as an honorary chairwoman to encourage Americans to "drink up." Kicking off a media-heavy effort with an appearance in appropriately named Watertown, WI, the First Lady, supported by the beverage industry and celebrities such as Eva Longoria, said "It's really that simple. Drink just one more glass of water a day and you can make a real difference for your health, your energy and the way you feel. So 'drink up' and see for yourself."

Obama is spreading the message that drinking more water is easy, positive change Americans can make for their health. The first lady has recorded individual messages that will air from morning to night today on various TV talk shows, including "Today," ''Good Morning America," ''Nuevo Dia," ''Despierta America," ''The View," ''Live With Kelly and Michael," ''Katie" as well as late-night programs with comedians Jay Leno, David Letterman and Jimmy Fallon. There are plans for the "Drink Up" logo to be plastered on millions of packages of bottled water, individual and reusable bottles. The logo will also appear on more than 10,000 outdoor public drinking fountains.

With all the media exposure and celebrity power, there is little doubt that more of us will be gulping water in the near future. And if we end up with biceps as defined as Mrs. Obama's from all that bottle lifting, we'll call that a win-win.
